“Options” FAQ’s
The Options Program is for adults with Developmental Disabilities that live in Carbon, Monroe and Pike Counties. Participants can be independent, or if they need assistance, staff can be provided. All participants must be referred through Carbon-Monroe-Pike MHMR.
There is no fee to join the program; however, depending on the activities that you attend, there may be small fees to cover the cost of supplies or larger fees to buy tickets to attend concerts or museum. The fees are noted in the Newsletter and Calendar that is distributed monthly.
Activities include Cooking, Movies, Bingo, Bowling, Education Club, Arts & Crafts, Pizza & Video, Walking/Exercise & Wellness Club, Travel Club, Swimming…the list goes on and on! Most of the activities take place during the day, but there will also be activities on nights and weekends. We’ll meet in conference rooms, community libraries, township buildings and FCS Group Homes & offices throughout the community.
At times, you will need to be transported to and from the activity, and there will be times that transportation will be offered (*transportation fees may apply*). All information is communicated in the monthly Options Program Newsletter & Calendar.
Activities are conducted by the staff of Habilitation Services of Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. For more information on the Options Program, please contact Debbie Smith at, (570) 213-4332, or e-mail dasmith@fitzmaurice.org
